The Ultimatum star Lisa Horne has issued a public apology for hitting her boyfriend Brian Okoye in the new season of the Netflix reality show – while also confirming that she has given birth to a baby boy.
The 31-year-old ignited a social media storm when the second season arrived on the streaming platform last week, after the program’s second episode saw her physically lash out at her other half.
Lisa unleashed her anger on Brian after he flirted with fellow cast member Riah Nyree and was seen shoving him away with her hand across his face during an explosive argument.
In another dramatic plot twist, she then learned that she was pregnant, and the couple quit The Ultimatum together in episode three, prompting doubt from viewers over the legitimacy of her baby bombshell.

She has since issued a groveling public apology, insisting that she doesn’t condone ‘violence of any kind’
Lisa has now released a statement on her Instagram page apologizing to both Brian and Riah for her aggressive behavior, while also confirming that she and her other half are now parents.
‘As the final episodes of The Ultimatum are released, I want to take the opportunity to reflect on this insightful journey,’ she began her post.
‘I would like to apologize to my fellow cast members, family and friends who were affected by my words and actions on the show. I have apologized to both Brian and Riah privately and now I am doing so publicly.’
Turning her attention to Riah, who she called a ‘b*tch’ multiple times during her blazing row with Brian, she continued: ‘To Riah, I apologize for any hurtful words that I used to describe you.
‘No one should be judged based on their age or place of employment and I believe in empowering women from all walks of life.’
Lisa continued: ‘Brian and I not only faced existing relationship challenges which stretched us both emotionally and greatly triggered me going into the show, but during filming, we also learned we were expecting.
‘While this does not excuse my behavior, I also extend my apologies to Brian for any aggression I displayed toward him as I do not condone violence of any kind.
‘While I’ve never publicly or privately displayed those kinds of actions, I understand that my behavior reflected poorly on myself, our relationship, and the show.

The couple got into an explosive argument on the show, which was sparked after Brian flirted with fellow contestant Riah

The show took an unexpected turn when Lisa then revealed to Brian that she was pregnant, prompting doubts from viewers

The couple quit the series, with co-host Nick Lachey forced to break the news to the rest of the group
‘Reality TV is an opportunity to showcase our lives and personalities, but that doesn’t excuse hurtful actions.
‘As Brian and I continue with relationship counseling and nurturing our growing family, I have been committed to learning and growing from t his experience by taking steps to improve my own reactions and relationship triggers.
‘I am also grateful for the lessons this situation has taught me, despite the hard path I travelled to learn those lessons.’
Lisa also put to bed any doubt over her pregnancy, as she confirmed that she and Brian have indeed become parents and have welcomed a ‘chunky’ baby boy.
‘The baby is chunky and healthy! He is just the cutest thing,’ she told Us Weekly earlier this month.
‘I love it [being a mom]. Love it! When you have a child and just, like, looking at him, those tiny hands, those eyes, like, you just become obsessed. So I’m literally obsessed over him right now. He’s all I talk about with everybody.’

Lisa has kept details about her pregnancy journey private which has prompted speculation – although she mentioned her ‘growing family’ in her recent post
Opening up about her bombshell pregnancy in episode three, Lisa admitted that she was ‘nervous’ to relay the news to her partner.
‘To be honest, I’m surprised,’ Brian replied. ‘Very surprised. You 100 per cent pregnant?’
Fans had speculated the legitimacy of Lisa’s pregnancy announcement, especially given that she hasn’t yet shared any images of her pregnancy journey on her social media pages.
Others also voiced their anger toward Netflix for airing the scene in which her violence was displayed.
‘She fully hit him, and no one blinked an eye,’ one wrote. ‘Imagine if a guy did that. Also, if I were Brian, I’d be wanting to actually see a positive pregnancy test. The entire situation is sus.’
‘How the hell is The Ultimatum accepting physical violence?’ another quizzed.
A third added: ‘I really think they should have been removed from the show immediately when she hit him. That should be a line that once crossed, man or woman, they are kicked off even if that’s unfair to the one hit.’
